Other Mommy scares up $27.8 million despite brutal reviews
Critics were not impressed by Other Mommy, and audiences surveyed after opening-night screenings were hardly enthusiastic either. Yet Jessica Chastain's latest horror film has emerged as the clear winner at the North American box office. Released on October 9, 2026, Rob Savage's supernatural thriller earned $27.8 million over its first three days, providing another striking example of the horror genre's ability to attract audiences even when reviews turn against it.
